I recently stayed at The Kasbah in Langkawi for a few days and I had a fantastic time. As a solo traveler, I really loved the chill and backpacker-friendly vibe of the place. The common area was perfect for meeting and chatting with other travelers from all over the world. The surrounding area was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a restful stay. The location was great too, with Cenang beach just a short 5-minute walk away or a quick and affordable GRAB ride. The staff, especially Taha, were incredibly kind and helpful. Langkawi was a wonderful experience thanks to the hospitality of the locals and the interactions with other travelers. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend The Kasbah!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the restaurant at the hotel. I have never tasted such delicious local and European dishes in my life! The chef's talent in the kitchen is extraordinary, creating flavors that were out of this world. The restaurant also offered a BBQ grill option, which was like a carnivore's paradise. Every bite was a taste sensation, leaving me craving more!
Insects and bugs in rooms/bathrooms.

I recently stayed at a hostel in South East Asia for 6 weeks and I have to say, Kasbah Langkawi was my absolute favorite. The vibe there was incredible, with a real Bob Marley atmosphere that helped me relax after the stress of visiting tourist spots. In fact, I loved it so much that I ended up coming back to the same hostel one week later. The manager, Taha, was super friendly and even helped me when I had food poisoning. Thank you, Taha! The construction of the hostel was also unique and made from used wood, giving it a cozy and traditional feel. Sleeping on a swinging bed with a mosquito net was a great experience. The location was also perfect, surrounded by a Malay village and close to the beach and tourist attractions. it was a great place to relax and rejuvenate.
Nothing to dislike. 👍

The hotel provides garden views, making it a peaceful and scenic retreat. Sitting in the garden felt like being in a lush oasis, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Thin walls, which meant that we could hear our neighbors and the call for prayer.

Spent Xmas at this place. The chill vibe and large, nicely designed room were great. enjoyed the laidback common area, perfect for meeting other travelers. Location was a plus too, with a short walk to the beach and easy access to transportation. The surroundings were quiet, ideal for some rest and relaxation.
The room had a rat problem. Had to kick out a rat in the middle of the night, and the top shelf and bathroom were covered in droppings.

kasbah langkawi was a delightful surprise during my recent stay in pantai cenang. the homely feel, spacious private room, and powerful shower exceeded my expectations. the manager, tahar, made our stay even more enjoyable with his friendly hospitality. it was the perfect place to relax after exploring bustling tourist spots in southeast asia.
Bathrooms were untidy and lacked toilet paper.

I had an amazing experience at Kasbah Langkawi! The hostel has a relaxed and chill vibe, reminiscent of the beach town in Ecuador where I come from. The common area is a great place to connect with other travelers and have interesting conversations. The location is perfect, with a quiet surrounding area that allows for rest, yet only a 5-minute walk to Cenang beach. The hospitality of the staff and local people made me feel welcome, and I never felt alone as a solo traveler. I would definitely return to Kasbah Langkawi if I visit Langkawi again!
Nothing to fault. 😊

The property itself was beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of communal spaces and private areas. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The restaurant was closed, which would have been a great place to socialize.

The construction with used wood, tiles, and other materials was brilliant and closer to my taste. Sleeping on the swinging bed with mosquito net gave a traditional Malay village house experience. The location surrounded by the Malay village and paddy field view, close to the beach and tourist attractions was perfect for experiencing local activities and food. The ambient was lovely and peaceful, with fast check-in and helpful staff. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, and the atmosphere was great. Bonfires in the evenings were a highlight. The private room was quiet with acceptable cleanliness and the location was convenient. Live band playing created a nice vibe.
